Pam and Summer and I had the privilege of attending
the Sing! Conference in Nashville this past week and
as is the norm, it was encouraging and convicting and
helpful.
Much of the content was geared toward congregational
singing but there was also a plethora of teaching from the
Scriptures. There is much to absorb and put into practice.
Two truths that grabbed me were:
1. The way you worship will determine the way
you will live.
2. The singing of the congregation is a strong
sense of the worship life of the church.
Psalm 107.2 says, “Let the redeemed of the Lord say so.”
Maybe a good thing to say when we gather like this on a
day like this is, “Let the redeemed of the Lord SING so!”
And here’s a friendly reminder. When we worship in song
we aren’t just singing to us or to those around us. We are
singing to Him.
I’m on the Adventure,
Stan
