When I was but a boy we used to sing a song about satan.
The first verse went something like…
“The devil is a sly old fox.
I’d like to take him and put him in a box.
Lock
the door and throw away the key,
For all the tricks he’s played on me.”
Now that I have many miles and many years behind me,
I’ve discovered the devil never gives up. He is always
just around the corner with another new temptation.
There’s a good lesson we need to learn. I’m not sure
where it originated but it goes like this…
“Satan gives Adam an apple and takes away paradise.
Therefore, in all temptations, let us consider not what
he offers, but what we shall lose.”
I’m on the Adventure,
